About Us

MISSION
Mamapreneurs, Inc.™ is a resource and support organization based in Portland, Oregon. Our mission is to foster a respectful, helpful, supportive and fun environment for women business owners, entrepreneurs and independent consultants/contractors who are also mothers. Our focus is to support individual mamapreneurs™ : to help each other grow and connect as business owners and as mothers. It is from these connections that our businesses have the opportunity to flourish.

MEMBERSHIP COMMUNITY
There are 200+ members in Mamapreneurs, Inc. Our members range in age from 25 to 65, with our children ranging in age from newborn to 30+ years old. Our members represent a variety of industries but we are all mothers, and we are all business owners. To qualify for membership, applicants must:

• legally be part-owner of a qualifying business OR be in the process of launching a new business
• be a mother of a child or children of any age(s)
• adhere to high ethical and legal business standards
• be in good standing in the community

In order to ensure we preserve the mission of our community, we constantly review our membership policies to best serve our members. All applicants whose applications are dated after June 15, 2008 must be moms who own part of a business that is at least 51% mom-owned. Owners of franchise or licensed businesses are welcome to join. WHAT WE DO
-Monthly business meetings with speakers who address various business topics, followed by substantial networking time
-Members-only private online forum. This is our 24/7 online living room where members can connect about business or family life issues in a private, respectful, comfortable online environment.
-Members-only industry and specialized group meetings. Industry groups and other specialized smaller groups allow our members to meet with colleagues in similar businesses or in certain locations and connect on issues specific to their line of work.
-Networking Playdates. These are a great chance for moms to connect while kids play. Members are welcome whether you bring kids or not!
-Mamas' Night/Day Out. These are wonderful opportunities to connect with fellow mamapreneurs in social settings, sans kids.
-Support Source: a confidential system of support for members in need of assistance.
-Blog featuring the personal experiences and insights from our bloggers.
-Members Only Discounts to more than 100 products and services offered by current members.
-Close-knit Community of mamapreneurs™ serve as a strong referral base for business. We support each other by working together, referring each other, and being loyal customers to member businesses.
-The Mom Shop™ : a modern marketplace of local goods & services for the whole family. This event showcases the incredible products and services provided by local family-owned businesses.
-The Makings of a Mamapreneur™ : a conference for newer and budding mamapreneurs that focuses on juggling both business and family life.
-Ongoing Public Relations & Marketing Opportunities. Our members have access to effective public relations and marketing opportunities through the organization as well as through fellow member businesses.
